Andy Clement, athletics coach comes to Kenya to work with selected athletes

Andy Clement’s, a former GB masters and New Balance athlete, is spending a week in Kenya working with Frida Ndinda, long distance runner and former Tujiamini Gold winner, as well as Rukia Nursa promising up and coming hurdler and bronze winner of the Tujiamini initiative.

Rukia went on to win her final with a PB of 13.6 at the Athletics Kenya Olympic trials on Friday June 14th and has departed for the African Games where she hopes to qualify to restore sent Kenya at the Paris Olympics. While it is a tough ask, as the qualifying time needed is under 13 seconds, it is with support like the one from Andy that she will be able to improve her technique and enter more competitions to improve her time.

Meanwhile, Ndinda is a specialist in the 10km event, with an established time placing her in the top 100 athletes in the world. It is hoped that Ndinda will continue to improve with help from coaches such as Andy to qualify for the Olympics in Lós Angeles in 2028.
