Philip Wokorach set up the PW15 foundation in Uganda in order to give back to the sport that has given him so much. To mark Philip's birthday, December 31, he organised a tournament for 18 teams, 10 in the U10 category and 8 in the U15 category.  This is the third such tournament that the PW15 Foundation has puleld off, with a pause of 2 years due to the Covid pandemic.

The majority of the children come from poor and underpriviledged backgrounds or from youth clubs around Kampala which depend on donors to fund their operations.  The tournament was a huge success - allowing children the chance to escape their chores, interact with each other in a fun environment and learn new skills.  The joy on the children's faces when receiving praise and gaining their certificates and trophies for their performances was wonderful to behold.  Everyone celebrated Philip's birthday with a cake at the end of the day.

DBA supported the PW Foundation after a very difficult period during the Covid pandemic.  DBA covered the tournament costs including the players' t-shirts.  Together we are proud to support grass-roots sports in East Africa.
