Rugby academy
With Andrew Amonde on board as our Rugby Academy Ambassador, we are heavily investing into nurturing young rugby talent across Kenya and Uganda. Our first rugby academy launched in June, 2022 at Kenton College, Nairobi and is now in its third season. Each week, over 100 boys and girls attend the academy of which 40% are on scholarships. We offer places to children in the area who otherwise would not be able to afford to play in organised sports programmes. We are working on adding 3 more academies across Kenya and helping to grow youth rugby in Uganda.
Lacrosse academy
We have established a new lacrosse academy in Kampala, Uganda coached by players from the National Men’s Team including two athletes who are currently on lacrosse scholarships in America. The sport is growing in Uganda after the Senior Men’s team returned from their 3rd World Championships and the U20 Boys represented for the first time at a Junior World Championships in Ireland 2022.
